Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day finishing operations according to the production plan
  • Ensure fabric is processed according to approved GSM, width, shrinkage, overfeed, temperature, speed, and chemical recipe requirements
  • Ensure proper heat setting, drying, finishing, and curing according to fabric type and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Dyeing, Lab, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Folding/Packing departments.
  • Troubleshoot stenter-related problems and take corrective action to minimize reprocessing and rejection.
  • Monitor production output, machine efficiency, downtime, and fabric wastage.
  • Control consumption of softeners, resins, silicone, chemicals, steam, gas, electricity, and other finishing materials.
  • Ensure proper preventive maintenance in coordination with the Maintenance Department.
  • Maintain production records, machine reports, recipe sheets, and quality reports.
  • Allocate manpower effectively according to production requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, chemical handling, and environmental standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues related to stenter finishing.
