Job Description

Major Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of utility equipment, including chillers, compressors, HVAC systems, boilers, thermic oil heaters, and water treatment/supply systems.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of utility equipment to ensure maximum reliability and minimum downtime.
  • Monitor the performance and operating parameters of chillers, compressors, humidification plants, boilers, thermic oil heaters, and water systems.
  • Manage boiler and thermic oil heater operations in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Ensure effective water management, including availability, consumption monitoring, and system efficiency.
  • Manage utility spare parts, ensuring optimum inventory levels and timely availability of critical components.
  • Track and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly utility operating costs and identify opportunities for energy and cost optimization.
  • Lead and supervise the Utilities team, ensuring effective manpower utilization, discipline, and performance.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted utility services.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, SOPs, statutory regulations, and company policies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in Utilities, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Chillers, Compressors, HVAC, Boilers, Thermic Oil Heaters, Humidification Plants, and Water Management Systems.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of utility equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of utility cost monitoring, energy management, and equipment performance analysis.
  • Experience in spare parts planning and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of HSE standards, maintenance practices, and statutory safety requirements.
