ASSISTANT MANAGER - INVENTORY

Job Summary

Responsible for managing overall textile stores operations, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, production supplies, and finished goods while maintaining accurate inventory records, proper documentation, and compliance with company SOPs, 5S, and inventory control standards. Jo

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day stores and warehouse operations across textile manufacturing facilities.
Ensure timely issuance and availability of raw materials, accessories, packing materials, and production consumables as per production requirements.
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verifications and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure daily production requirements are fulfilled with complete documentation and accurate system transactions.
Monitor GRN, material issuance, transfers, returns, and other inventory transactions.
Prepare monthly stock closing and inventory reports for Finance and Management.
Assign daily tasks to store supervisors, staff, and labor and monitor their performance.
Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, inventory controls, and 5S standards.
Monitor stores performance through KPI-based data, reporting, and evaluations.
Identify inventory variances, operational gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in Stores/Warehouse Operations, preferably within the textile or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of textile raw materials, accessories, consumables, inventory control, and warehouse processes.
Hands-on experience in cycle counting, stock reconciliation, monthly closing, and ERP transactions.
Good command of MS Excel and ERP/Inventory Management Systems.
Strong leadership, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of 5S, SOP compliance, inventory controls, and warehouse safety practices.
