ASSISTANT MANAGER - KNITTING

Position: Assistant Manager – Knitting (Research & Development)

📍 Location: Nooriabad, Super Highway, Jamshoro

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D for new knitted fabric structures, constructions and product development.
• Develop and optimize knitting samples, prototypes, yarns, blends and machine parameters.
• Conduct knitting trials and evaluate GSM, width, shrinkage, spirality, stretch and fabric performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Quality, Merchandising and Production teams.
• Research new yarns, knitting techniques, machinery capabilities and market trends.
• Ensure smooth transfer of approved developments to bulk production.
• Maintain technical specifications, trial reports and development records.
• Drive innovation, quality improvement, waste reduction and cost optimization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering / Textile Technology or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in Knitting, R&D or Fabric Development.
• Strong knowledge of circular knitting machines, fabric constructions, yarns and knitting parameters.
• Hands-on experience in fabric development, trials and technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of fabric testing, quality standards and buyer requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good command of MS Excel and technical reporting.
• Export-oriented textile/apparel experience preferred.
