Position: Deputy Manager – MHE Maintenance
Location: SITE, Superhighway Phase 2, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Karachi.

Job Summary

Utopia Industries is looking for a technically strong and result-oriented Deputy Manager – MHE Maintenance to lead material handling equipment maintenance, workshop operations, spare parts management, and the digitalization of maintenance processes across Inventory & Finished Goods warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and optimization of CMMS/ERP-based MHE maintenance systems in coordination with IT.

Develop digital asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and automated maintenance alerts.

Ensure accurate maintenance data and lifecycle records for forklifts, stackers, reach trucks, pallet movers, and other MHE.

Monitor MTBF, MTTR, equipment downtime, maintenance costs, and other MHE performance KPIs.

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize MHE uptime.

Oversee major repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and tuning of MHE equipment.

Manage mechanics, technicians, and helpers and ensure timely completion of daily maintenance targets.

Control spare parts consumption, maintenance costs, inventory levels, and external workshop/vendor expenses.

Ensure compliance with MHE safety, environmental, factory, and workplace safety standards.

Conduct regular MHE safety inspections and train operators on proper handling and equipment usage to minimize damage and breakdowns.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a relevant field.

5–7 years of relevant experience in MHE, material handling equipment, industrial equipment, or workshop maintenance.

Strong technical knowledge of forklifts, stackers, pallet movers, reach trucks, and related MHE.

Strong expertise in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spare parts, workshop management, and cost control.
