Position: Deputy Manager – Fleet Maintenance

Location: SITE, Superhighway Phase 2, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Karachi.

Job Summary

Utopia Industries is looking for a technically strong and result-oriented Deputy Manager – Fleet Maintenance to oversee fleet maintenance operations, workshop activities, spare parts management, and the digitalization of maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and optimization of CMMS/ERP-based fleet maintenance systems in coordination with IT.

Develop digital asset records, maintenance schedules, work orders, and preventive maintenance alerts.

Ensure accurate maintenance data for trucks, cars, lifting equipment, and other fleet assets.

Monitor fleet uptime, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, fuel efficiency, and maintenance KPIs.

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure fleet availability.

Supervise major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic repairs, engine overhauls, and workshop operations.

Manage mechanics, technicians, and helpers and ensure timely completion of repair targets.

Control maintenance costs, spare parts consumption, inventory levels, and external workshop expenses.

Ensure compliance with vehicle, workshop, lifting equipment, environmental, and workplace safety standards.

Conduct safety inspections and train drivers/operators on proper equipment handling to minimize breakdowns and damages.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a relevant field.

5–7 years of relevant experience in fleet, automotive, workshop, or equipment maintenance.

Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and workshop management.

Experience in manufacturing, textile, logistics, or supply chain operations will be preferred.
